Everything on this site is general information for educational purposes. We work to keep it accurate and current, but it may contain errors or go out of date, and it can't account for your specific situation.

Estimates, not quotes

Cost figures on this site are estimates and ranges for planning. They are not quotes, bids or offers, and your actual price depends on your roof, materials, location and contractor. Get written quotes from licensed, insured contractors before you decide. Information about insurance claims, contracts and state law is general information, not legal or insurance advice; for a specific claim or dispute, talk to your insurer, a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.

Products, prices and links

We don't currently use affiliate links on this site. No company pays for or edits what we publish; see how we calculate costs. If that changes, we'll disclose it on the page where it applies.

Product specifications come from manufacturers and can change. Price figures are estimates, labelled as such, and are not offers to sell. When you buy from another company, your purchase is between you and that seller, under its terms.

Third-party sites

We link to other websites, such as manufacturers, retailers, government agencies and research sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

Using the site

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
